【摘要】:Thistestisdesignedtodeterminetheabilityofamaterialtoreduceoreliminateundesirablefoamthatcanbegeneratedduringthemixingandapplicationofagriculturalchemicalsindiluteaqueousmixtures.Thismethodisusefulfortestingliquiddefoamingagents,suchasx201C;siliconeemulsionx201D;orx201C;organicx201D;typedefoamingagents.Inprinciple,itmightalsobeusedtotestdryantifoamagentswithminormodificationstotheprocedure.Thismethodcouldbeemployedtodeterminetherelativeeffectivenessofonedefoamingagentversusanother.Itislefttotheuserofthismethodtointerprettheresultswithrespecttotheactualfielduseofthedefoamingagentstested.Thismethodassumesthatthedefoamingagentbeingtestedhassufficientdurabilitytomaintainitsactivityforthedurationofthetest.SodiumlaurylethersulfateasthefoamingagentisdescribedinSection7,Reagents.Ifdesiredtheuserofthistestmethodmayselectanalternativesuitablefoamingagent.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaqualitativemethodfortheevaluationofliquiddefoamingagentsusedtocontrolundesirablefoamindilute,aqueoussurfactantsolutions.Thislaboratorytestmethodmaybeappliedtoaqueoussystemscontainingadditionalcomponents,suchasagriculturalchemicals.ThismethodisdescribedusingSIunits1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandardmethoddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
